Best Western Plus Hotel Colbert
It's not a good idea to come to this hotel for an event. Just today, at an event held there, there wasn't a single sign, no welcome for those attending, not even a greeting from the hotel reception—unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of its rating. They clearly felt we were bothering them and barely bothered to look up when we asked a question: "Just look at the people before you, that way you'll know when to come in..." "Uh, okay, and where do we wait?" "Over there..." And then we were back buried in paperwork. This kind of reception is all too common in this city, but I expected better from this establishment. And yes, we're not customers, so we don't care! And I wasn't the only one who received this kind of treatment; there were nearly twenty people left there without really knowing where to go or what to do... Everyone was stunned. I suspect the event organization—whose level of expertise was on par with the organization itself, a complete mess—is partly to blame, but the lack of information and the appalling, bull in a china shop reception are definitely the hotel's fault, and judging by the other reviews, it seems to be a recurring issue. Clearly, when I have an event to organize in 2027, I'll be looking elsewhere.
We had an excellent night in this hotel, which has managed to retain all the charm of its industrial architecture (a former factory) while offering impeccable 4-star comfort. The room was spacious, quiet, and equipped with very high-quality bedding, guaranteeing complete rest.
Breakfast is a real highlight: very comprehensive, with a wide selection of fresh, sweet, and savory products, served in a bright and pleasant room. The reception staff are professional and friendly, which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. It is undoubtedly one of the best places in town to combine comfort and authenticity. (However, the parking situation remains an area for improvement.)
